The Week in UFO Phenomenon: The Disclosure Project, Sunday at the Movies!

Happy Sunday TWiUP followers, friends and new visitors time for another Sunday at the Movies documentary presentation. This week we have The Disclosure Project which contains nearly two hours of testimony from highly credible witnesses of UFOs. This is really the argument as Dr. Steven Greer has obtained for the idea of extra-terrestrial reality; the best most well documented occurrences around. As much of UFO phenomenon surrounds government he has a real desire for governments to come forward with whatever information and or confirmations they can, so he does spend a great deal of time with witnesses attached to government agencies. As for myself I’ve never needed the government to ratify my reality or have I depended on them to tell me what is truth, so I don’t really care what they do as far as disclosing anything, but to each his own.

The Disclosure Project has been well-received by UFO enthusiasts, with speeches from Greer and various other witnesses being presented at various UFO-themed conferences. Greer has held press conferences and embarked on a continuing series of lectures and television appearances trying to raise popular support.[12] Mainstream media coverage of the group mostly centered around a 2001 conference at the National Press Club[13] which was described by an attending BBC reporter as the strangest he had ever seen.[14] Greer convened the conference with more than 100 other contactees offering testimony. Among the contactees were "...about 20 former government workers, many of them military and security officials, who stepped forward...and called for congressional hearings about such sightings."[15] Such arguments were met with by derision by skeptics and spokespeople for the U. S. Airforce who maintain that there is no convincing evidence for the speculation that UFOs are alien spacecraft.[16][17]
