I had a ball in a hash tag yesterday. #CookoutNewsNetwork was just like going to any one of 100's of family cookouts i've gone to and what made it so magical was I could have fallen into 1000's of them yesterday and sat right down without having to learn the backstory. I'll begin my presentation with the last tweet I had in the series.
#CookoutNewsNetwork They call us a tribe like it's a bad thing. I love my Black family and yours.
I have in my saved files of thinking several great pieces, but then I remembered that what I have to say has been said before and better. So, rather than two paragraphs on what happened followed by an opinion I am going to use my voice to amplify something that was said more than 50 years by a man White Superiority shot in the neck.
There is a reason White people don't know this speech, don't troll Black people with it, it's the same reason why they think Huck Finn was all Mark Twain wrote about race, and don't know he wrote King Leopold's Soliloquy.

Who is the gentleman below? Well that is my BigDaddy y'all might say Grandfather but he'd tell you your Father is in heaven. He was the first Black DJ in Northern Georgia, and as y'all know how full of woo I am, you'll know the frequency of the ancestor I'm going to dial for support in the next week : )
Adept2u how do you see the role of the other Brilliancy here what kind of community are you trying to build?
I’m glad you asked.
Think of Brilliancy on the Bridge as having a movie theater where they are inviting the rest of us to watch the presentation they have prepared for us, called Life.
They are the projectionist they are in charge of the entire presentation and they have invited us to sit in the audience.
Brilliant Bridge members are there to CHEER THE MOVIE!
Suspend disbelief. Fall in love. In fact if you can you’re gonna help that movie win an the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Are you a critic? (Yes, I understand how criticism can be constructive)
The door is over there it has a big green Exit sign.
Well remember at the end of the Nataraj Mundunga I said I'd add some more stories to the world? Ready? I don't know how often im going to kick out a piece but enjoy the ride : )
“Never thought I’d be glad to see this again” Hosea thought
as he bent over to pull another fluffy piece free from the razor sharp plant
that protected its’ prize production zealously.
He was happy though, more happy to be back on the Mississippi delta
picking cotton than he had been 3 years ago when he left it for France and the
crusade for liberty that he saw first hand as a litter bearer.
They weren’t too happy to let the Negroes have guns but they
were alright with letting them dance among the shells to pull back the wounded. Hosea felt like he had pulled as many wounded
and dead as he had cotton bolls, and now he was just happy to liberate the
plants for the White family his people had worked for less than more willingly
for 100 years as he was to escape the smell of the gas of France.
He even let himself smile when the last plant he was going
to pick after the horn sounded to bring the days haul to the family gin sounded
cut him to the white meat. He and the
other families sang sweetly in the manner that would have been familiar to
waves of their ancestors who worked these fields since the cotton engine Eli
Whitney developed made the plant easy to clean and Negroes valuable.
The ride in on the wagon stacked high with unrefined cotton
bales was made even easier with the jug one of the cousins was passing around
and Hosea drank easily from it. Hosea
was satisfied at the near conclusion of a long day that didn’t include anyone
being shot through the neck. He almost
didn’t notice the first tug on his right arm as he was throwing a bale into the
teeth of the machine designed to remove the cotton from it’s boll and spill out
nothing but clean cotton at the other end.
It wasn’t until his forearm exploded in pain that he realized that he
had let his hand slip into the input hopper of the gin where one of the
preliminary teeth had quickly chewed his fingers then hand and was merrily
working on his forearm when he finally thought to scream and pull back.
As he watched the newly made stump of his right arm spurt
his blood into the gin he thought about how many times he’d seen such a wound
in France and thought, “huh lucky bastard if he don’t die of infection they can
clamp that off right clean” then it occurred to him it was his own arm and by
the time Blake the current young Mister from the family got to his side and
made him sit down and began placing his own belt around his arm the pain and
loss began to hit and the day became much worse than France.
Meanwhile in Pittsburgh the
Amalgamated Tool and Die Company the exclusive supplier of automotive parts to
the Dusenberg Automobile and Motors Company of IndianapolisIndiana
was suffering an industrial accident. As
a progressive for the time company ATD employed Negroes in their janitorial
staff and one of their most trusted ones was busy in an active part of the
factory. Amalgamated did not generally
employ the Negroes in such capacities as the production of the precision parts,
but was more than sanguine with allowing them the positions of cleaning up
after the men who did. The report that
was prepared for the payment of settlement to the Negro and his family read
that he made a superhuman effort in leaping to escape the loop of cable that operated portions of the massive
forge, and that without such effort the loop would have closed around his chest
as opposed to his legs below the knee neatly severing both feet. The report was also careful to note that no
production was lost in cleaning up the various viscera and no loss in the
integrity of the product was expected despite the unusual addition of Jake’s
blood.
There were similar stories like in Texas where the ranch
that produced the leather lost a Negro hand in a routine loading accident, and
from Guyana where the new rubber plantation seemed to have a bit of bother with
a group of Negroes loading tires for shipment.
The Dusenberg Automobile and Motors Company of Indianapolis did not
employ Negroes. They had previously produced aircraft and marine engines and
the struggle the company was experiencing in producing it’s first models did
not include worrying what happened along it’s various supply chains, and so car
36 was born. The seats made with
beautiful Texas leather and cotton from the
heartland of Mississippi. The mechanicals and engine parts lovingly
cast from America’s new
industrial might and engineered with America’s new thoughts number 36
didn’t need a buyer. Such things would
literally fly off the shelves and so it was produced.
The Day number 36 was finished it was left outside as part
of the advertisement the company did.
Lola a beautiful little Negro girl of maybe 9 being escorted by her
older relations asked the man in charge of the display if she might touch it’s
shiny red fender, a request the man happily allowed. It cut her to the white meat.
It's been a week since I decided to take my chair Stargazer Friendfinder to the end of my driveway and wave at everyone who passes by and I thought I'd give an update.
This is by far the most groovy thing I've ever done for myself. The street I live on is first of all very busy. It is the main east west drag in our hillside hamlet so I'm busy. I am getting one heck of a workout! You beauty queens out there I tip my hat an hour's serious HOWDY waving is a workout.
I have become a phenomenon that children ask their parents to drive by and then the parents come by themselves. I stopped counting the frowns turned upside down I've caused. I believe I have dropped the average speed from warp 4 to mere impulse power on my little piece of the drag, and become an inspiration to the service club High School age kids looking for something to do.
I have made at least 10 solid friends I now know the names of and have moved past simple greeting to making human connection and within the next couple days I fully expect to have to bring out another chair for Stargazer because I’ve had a person ask if they could wave with me and I wholeheartedly accepted.
Professional drivers are the most fun as I love air horns and I think the bus drivers on my route have begun announcing me because everyone on the bus now waves at me.
After one week.
Do I think this is for everyone? No, I’m a sales person who if when I cold called returned a positive result of whenever someone met my eyes I made a sale I’d be richer than Roosevelt so I’m not daunted by small rejections. Do I think it’s an excellent way to put yourself out there in anticipation of some really sweet result? Absolutely

Taking back our world from the control of fear time and money
Namaste Friends.
Here’s the first posting.
Moms family is from Georgia,
I’ve shown you Moms family earlier with the presentation of the documentary Palmour
St., and Pops family
gave me my Alabama
memories. I mention it because of a
habit both sides of the family have.
When they get home from work, or get done with their day. They will get them a beer or other bevie and
everyone will go and sit on the porch and wave at every person and car driving
by.
The people who are walking will generally stop and talk, the
people in the cars always wave and display nice friendly smiles.
Well yesterday I was yelling at something political that had
pissed me off and something made me think “I bet these people where I live
wouldn’t even wave back if I did the southern thing”. I live on a very busy street the most busy in
my area of the town, so I thought no one would care we’re LA after all and a
challenge was born.
First the music I would pick a piece and I would wave all the way through it, and I know what I will use
Yeah that's me for the assignment next?
The Chair
STARGAZER
I set up for two way waving because that's how I roll.
I will now relay the results.
I apologize to my town for thinking it might not be
friendly. Oh my goodness, I don’t know
how I’m going to be able to end my evening without doing this I didn't remember how good it felt.
I saw people who just didn’t see me, and the way people haul
booty down my street I didn’t blame them.
Every single person who saw me waved.
2 separate men in pick up trucks who saw me saw my wave and
didn’t think I saw them wave back drove around the corner to wave. One stopped and asked if I were just waving
and when I said yes told me that was just beautiful and that lit my heart.
I made a new friend in Amy the jogger I had seen many times
running by my house and now know she’s a neighbor cooler than the other side of
the pillow and yes she and her cool husband would love to drop by for a glass
of vino and conviviality.
It’s my normal nature to count the wavers or something to
keep my mind busy, but I didn’t have to.
Get down my city I’m proud of you, I was kept busy meeting you. I
understand it might rain tomorrow, so nope, but whenever it’s not raining I
think I’ll give Stargazer a last name.

Last night the verses were hot people and verses shared like like we cared not.
We're going to slow down the flow of the poetry corner a little bit. Rather than every week we'll move to once a month to give people a chance to generate some work.

Follow +RealScientists Admin because every week they present world class minds that will be like HOWDY PARTNER even to people who play writing Sci Fi on the internet like myself The Nataraj Mundunga. I've been enjoying this weeks presentation when a series of tweets went by that made me go HEY! I might want to understand that so purely for my own and anybody else's I guess edification i'm blogging them up.
A little scienz as I close out the week. If I’m most “famous” for something, it’s likely work with @UMNChemistry colleague Don Truhlar (1/6)
If things go bump in the night today with the flow of the postings of Facebook don't worry Brilliant Bridge. We're barely a month old and already we're picking up stakes and expanding. I have expanded the concept of Brilliant Bridge onto Google+. Both social spots will have the same information, however with Google+ if you ask for the content the Bridge provides you'll get it.
It is also, a WAY better social media platform when compared with Facebook. My first 12 hours on it can be compared to escaping AOL as gatekeeper when the entire internet opened up.
Whatever Facebook we'll hang our here, and we'll hang out on Google+ then we'll have our first physical presence and serve delicious vegetarian meals and coffee free of charge and the other vegetable I'll be giving out free of charge well...Did I mention I was Rasta?
That is the world's cutest insect the poodle moth. Why did I put that in the middle of my blog? I'm whimsical as hell.
Well now after hearing what Facebook did to all the posts I so lovingly selected and wrote I decided to build another span of the Bridge Google+ Home yes now The Brilliant Bridge spans to Google plus.
I don't know how it runs looks like nobody likes me but I don't care. The Brilliant Bridge went live on FB almost a month ago and all the brilliant posts and programming you found on FB is now on Google+.
A Light on the Bridge asks hey how come I come to the
Brilliant Bridge Page here on FB and I see all this fantastic content that I
never see on my newsfeed what gives?
That is a great question I’m so happy someone asked.
You see Facebook has a process they call throttling. That
means that despite how much you might like to see the posts of the BrilliantBridge or any of your friends despite
the fact you told them you liked it and wanted to see the notifications,
Facebook says NO!
Facebook wants the Brilliant Bridge to pay for the right to receive
information that you have requested from social media the eyes on the page and
the normal clutter of ads on the right of the screen are just not enough for
them.
BrilliantBridge is so non profit
it expects the Universe to supply the means for any physical existence, and it
is going to expect those members of the Bridge who want to see this fantastic
content to seek it out.
If you want more feed from Brilliant Bride you’ll need to go
through and like as many posts as you can.
Will they then give you more? I don’t know.
Will I ever see everything?
Got me
Does it matter? Nope
You can come to the BrilliantBridge
page anytime you like. It is serving the
exact purpose I had foreseen which was to provide the nursery where the baby BrilliantBridge lives right after birth.
Whatever Facebook
Thanks to the Lights on the Bridge who see and participate.
No, I am not saying that participation in the Brilliant Bridge Poetry Corner ignites your life and magical things happen to you. This young man already had all that going on before he joined the Brilliant Bridge and gave me a poem to rock last Friday.

I talk now a lot about my baby http://brilliantbridge.org and one of the things I'm trying to avoid is dogma, but y'all know i'm choked full of woo. I want everyone to join and i'm not trying to play your movie or direct it I'm trying to watch it, but I will talk about mine.
I freaking need all the support I can get.
So here are some prerequisites I'm selling. I did not produce these I am Sales not engineering. http://brilliantbridge.org
“The Five Prerequisites
————— The first prerequisite: Shut up. Be quiet. Stop debating. Stop arguing. Stop trying to prove a point. Even if someone knows something that you don’t, whether they share it with you or not, makes no difference, for you have to come up with your own truth. There’s really no one in this universe that can hand you realization on a silver platter. ————— The second prerequisite: You have to let go. You have to let go so completely that it becomes scary. You have to totally let go mentally. You have to stop depending on person, place or thing for your self-worth. You have to start depending on the infinite invisible, on what you cannot see, taste, touch, or smell or feel. ————— The third prerequisite: You must look at the world but never react to anything. You must watch your feelings and your emotions, observe them, and as they come into contact with you, you must become the witness, realizing that you are not those emotions. You are not your bad temper. You are not the depression. You are nothing that goes on in this world. ————— The fourth prerequisite: You must develop a tremendous humility, a stupendous humility. This is more important than anything else. If someone tells you something that you don’t like to hear you do not become upset. You do not hold it in. You let it go through you and it dissipates, for it has no energy except the energy you give it. You are responsible to yourself. If you fool yourself you’re just going to get disgusted in the end and give up all spiritual life, for you’ll say you’ve gotten nowhere, nothing has happened, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t exist. I suppose this is the reason I am with you. To tell you, “Yes, there is an invisible realm of perfection beyond this world, interpenetrating this world, that makes this world look like kindergarten”. Yet you must be able to see it yourself. ————— The fifth prerequisite: You have to want it so much that you don’t want it. You have to have such a strong desire to be free that all desire stops. When all desire stops there is a quietness, a stillness, that takes place within you. It is only when this stillness, this quietness, comes when you’re able to see clearly, not with your physical eyes, but with your spiritual eye, not with your little ‘I’, not with the ‘I-thought’, but with the ‘I-am’. And you will see in all directions. You will see up, you will see down, you will see sideways, you will see backwards. The only thing you will see is total perfection which is another name for pure awareness. You have to take this thing seriously and you’re not to be serious about this thing at all. You have to reject everything yet you also have to accept everything. You have to surrender and you have to realize that you are the Self. ————— There is something inside of you that knows how to do all this. You can help by becoming quiet, by becoming still, by not making a lot of noise, not making a big commotion. Let the world do what it will, yet you become silent and peaceful, compassionate, have humility. Just watch, look, observe, quiet the mind. ‘Be still and know that I am God’.” — Robert Adams Namaste Friends
